Playground

Children are a cheap shot. Wait let me rephrase that… They make every photograph great, sometimes regardless of the photographer. With their big eyes, and baby cheeks they’ll make anyone go aww regardless of composition or lighting. That’s why I at least like to shoot them in their natural habitat: playgrounds. This adds interesting color in the background, since they always use the primary red, yellow and blue, and it makes for happy kid poses. I think there is nothing worse than taking your kid to Sears (or other corporate studio photography places) and putting him in a costume in front of a fake backdrop. No wonder normally the kids cry and don’t cooperate. I am all grown up but swings are still a great place to be!
